I never tried this course, but if you like it you have to try the app Language Transfer. It's free, and features a teacher with a student to learn with you! The guy speaks a bunch of languages, and does everything by himself.

This sounds a bit like Pimsleur just with more explicit instruction. I used Pimsleur to learn a little Turkish before a trip nearly 15 years ago. I still remember some of the little bit that I learned which is a testament to this kind of program because I haven't heard or spoken Turkish since. Do you have any experience with Pimsleur?

I recall trying Pimsleur but don't remember much of it. Perhaps it is the parasocial relationship you build with Michel Thomas throughout the course that makes it stick.
